In recognition of AmeriCorps VISTA week, the Massachusett Latino Chamber of Commerce presented AmeriCorps VISTA volunteers Raquel Maldonado, Alex Medina, Miguel Sanchez and all the New England Farm Workers Council/AmeriCorps Vista Volunteers with outstanding Volunteer certificates.

AmeriCorps provides a network of local, state, and national service programs that connects more than 70,000 Americans each year through intensive service to meet our country’s critical needs in education, public safety, health, and the environment.

Americorps opens the door for citizens to serve in a variety of ways. Through their service, AmeriCorps members address critical needs in communities throughout America, including building affordable housing, cleaning parks, helping communities respond to disasters, building organizational capacity, tutoring and mentoring disadvantaged youth.
