Young Latino Heroes 2009
Ten Latino students will be selected from Springfield, Holyoke, Chicopee and Westfield Public middle schools in recognition of their outstanding academic accomplishments and leadership skills to attend Latino Recognition Day at Fenway Park.
The Massachusetts Latino Chamber of Commerce, El Mundo Newspaper and the Boston Red Sox will choose ten young Latino heroes from middle grade public schools in Springfield, Holyoke, Chicopee and Westfield. Each student will be recognized at Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts on March 31st 2009.
Nominations are being accepted until April 23, 2009. Nominations must be accompanied with a teacher or school department staff recommendation. Each child must have a B or above average, good character and demonstrate good leadership skills.
The selected winners must be available to attend, with a parent or guardian. Date is to be announced.
